A Gnome Dock update

After my post on Docks on Gnome I was suggested to test out Docky and I have been running it since yesterday. I then went back to Gnome Do / Docky theme. It looks the same and has one feature that is superior to it’s contesters: The Gnome Do.

The Gnome Do is where you write the name of the application you want to start, which is a very handy feature. A reason for me to use a dock is to get rid of the panes in Gnome. With Gnome Do – which also has the desktop switch, and hope that I can soon remove the bottom pane. The top one is still safe (and is auto-hidden).

Important! I am not saying that Gnome Do is the best dock software for Gnome. At the moment the best option – for me.

Last time I used Gnome Do I felt that the system became unstable. I haven’t noticed any such things – yet!
