HTC Hero and Ubuntu

Today I purchased a HTC Hero as I had sold my old HTC Touch Pro. Since I have only just started using it, I can’t really say to much.

But I must say it was a big plus that it synced music, videos and podcasts through Banshee. Awesome. Now I need to find out how I can sync it with Evolution.

27.11.09: I’ve searched the web and as far as I can understand, there is no way you can sync or update the ROM – the last one not without rooting the phone – which I’m not planning on doing.

27.11.09: There are work being done to sync between Evolution on Linux and Android-phones. There are two projects involved:
Funambol and SyncEvolution.

30.01.11: Actually – I can’t really see that there is any work going on to fix syncing between an Android Phone and Evolution. This just adds up to the list of “things” that does not make Linux ready for – at least – businesses. Pitty.
